Diesel price peak (for now) over

The limit of €1 per liter has now been exceeded. It now costs more than €1,02 per litre Diesel paid (on delivery of 4.000 liters, excluding VAT). The rising price only becomes really clear when it is compared with the month of March this year. The price at the time was still €0,94 per liter.

Yet prices show that the peak has been passed. At the end of May, the diesel price was still €1,04 per liter, but now the purchasing collectives are paying between €1,02 and €1,03 per liter. In addition, it is striking that the diesel price fell in the same period last year, while it now shows an increasing trend.

Oil price doubling
The decline that has started is partly due to the fluctuations in oil prices on the international markets. In 1 year doubled the oil price; in July 2017, 1 barrel of Brent oil cost $43 and at the end of May 2018 the price was hovering around $80. At the pump, private individuals saw prices of above €1,43 per liter of diesel.
