Subsidy for young farmers in Flevoland increased

3 April 2019 - Kimberly Bakker

The Flevoland Provincial Executive has decided to increase the subsidy ceiling for the 'Regulation for Young Farmers' from €340.000 to €374.000. As a result, 2 to 3 additional projects are expected to be eligible for a subsidy.

The Provincial Council of Flevoland report that the amount of €340.000 made available is not sufficient to honor all submitted applications. It has therefore been decided to increase the budget to €374.000, which means that 2 to 3 additional projects are expected to be eligible for a subsidy.

The 'Young Farmers Scheme' was open from December 2018 to February 2019. During that period, 35 applications were submitted in Flevoland. The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO.nl) still has to check whether the applications meet the subsidy requirements. In the summer of 2019, it will be announced which projects are actually eligible for the subsidy.
