Louise Fresco, chair of the executive board of Wageningen University & Research (WUR), has joined the board of chemical and seed company Syngenta. Here she will occupy an independent, non-executive position. The Swiss company announced this on Friday 12 April.
Fresco has been chairman of the executive board of WUR since July 2014. She has extensive experience in holding a position similar to the one she will now hold at Syngenta. For example, she was a non-executive director at Unilever for 8 years and held a similar position at Rabobank.

Fresco was appointed on Friday 12 April during the general meeting of shareholders of Syngenta, as reports Company. This Swiss concern has been owned by ChemChina since 2017, which paid €39 billion for it.
