ForFarmers closes factory doors in Helmond

June 18, 2019 - Wouter Baan - 1 reaction

A factory for cattle and horse feed from ForFarmers in Helmond will close at the end of this year. Production will be transferred to factories in Almelo, Deventer and Rees, Germany.

ForFarmers announced at the beginning of this year that it wanted to make €10 million cuts in the supply chain and closing the factory in Helmond is a concrete measure of this. It is possible that this factory will be converted into a production location for special feeds in the future, as has happened with the location in Deventer.

transfer?
For the time being, the consequence is that the 31 employees will lose their jobs. ForFarmers is investigating the possibilities of transferring employees to other production locations.
