75 million euros for young farmers

3 September 2019 - Niels van der Boom - 9 comments

The Asset-Enhancing Loans Guarantee Scheme (VVK) contains a total of €75 million for starting young farmers and horticulturists. Minister Carola Schouten (Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality) announced this in a letter to the House of Representatives on Tuesday 3 September. The scheme will be open from 1 January 2020.

At the start of 2019, Schouten already announced the arrangement and now there is more clearly created. The support measures for young entrepreneurs are part of the European agricultural policy, which is worth billions liberates for business succession in the sector.

Industry Challenges
Over several years, this concerns an amount of €75 million. The scheme can be viewed from Wednesday 3 September and will be open on 1 January 2020. This scheme will make extra loans available to young entrepreneurs who want to invest in innovation; this can be in the field of circular agriculture, biodiversity, animal health and/or animal welfare. The Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality has worked out the scheme together with NAJK and Rabobank.

If you want to have a chance at an extra loan, you must first have an investment plan. This should clarify how circular agriculture is being done. This is a broad concept that also includes corporate social responsibility. The intended investment should improve the company's future prospects and thus its profitability.

Acquisition coaching
Of the €75 million, €11 million will be set aside for setting up a training and coaching process for company takeovers. At the request of young farmers themselves, there are opportunities to obtain advice and guidance for a sustainable business takeover.

Hundreds of millions for warm remediation and then another hundred million for starters. Money must apparently flow.

My advice to the young people: don't start in your own country but look further, the rest of the world DOES see how important your own food supply is and is waiting for you with open arms.

If you see the demands, it appears that first the old guard is deported (remediation) and then support is given to followers of government policy.
Where have we seen that before....

It's like bringing in a trojan horse. Should my investment plan be in line with what the unreliable government wants?! sell the lot and abroad. choke on your 75 million

What are the older farmers doing wrong?
They still have to pass it on first, this is pure discrimination!
I would say anyone or anyone!
Borrowing money, costs money! 3 September 2019
DO NOT start it it is a loan, so pay it back. The "legal mafia" (state) has no money and more and more hands have to be filled over the backs of the lesser working group, so they want to use those who still have a bit of morality to their cart and abuse as laboratory animals (rats) !

Loan for real estate, land and animal rights, etc. is NOT allowed. Do you really need credit for this? Animal welfare, of course. Then a new basket for the dog...

I think that the trend of 'bullying NL boertje' and then opening the border wide for cheap imports cannot simply be stopped. Fortunately, most make a well-considered choice whether or not to continue.
