Earlier, the province of Groningen published the amount for the Young Farmers scheme and this week it is the turn of Noord-Holland. The province is making €280.000 available to young farmers who want to invest in making their business more sustainable.
The subsidy scheme is being implemented in Noord-Holland, just like in Groningen, opened for the fifth time. This year the total amount is €280.000. With this subsidy, farmers under the age of 40 can invest in more modern and sustainable installations and machines. The requirement is that the investment that is made must contribute to the environment, climate, animal welfare, public health, the quality of the landscape or biodiversity.
Investment from Europe
The Young Farmers Scheme is part of the European Rural Development Program (POP). The province makes the subsidy available and the European Union doubles this amount. The Grant is open this time from December 2, 2019 to February 7, 2020.
