The Agricultural Collective is getting impatient. This is because after 4 consultations with Minister Carola Schouten (Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality), there is no solution to break the nitrogen impasse. The spokesperson for Schouten emphasizes that solutions are being worked hard.
"Schouten is not taking action to break the deadlock", the Agricultural Collective writes in a press statement. It is not possible to come to concrete agreements. Decisiveness is therefore required from Schouten. The Agricultural Collective also expects soon approval on the recently presented nitrogen plan.
'We are talking'
A spokesperson for Schouten thinks the statement of the Agricultural Collective is a bit premature. "We are working hard and are talking to each other. The Agricultural Collective knows what we are doing." According to the spokesman for the minister, the first concrete measures will already be taken this week (and perhaps Wednesday evening 4 December).
"A letter to parliament will be issued soon in which we will explain the provincial measures. An agreement was reached on this at the end of last week." These measures include internal and external netting. "We will also discuss the emergency law in the House of Representatives on 4 December." According to the spokesperson, it is a file that is ongoing and that the minister would prefer to resolve with the Agricultural Collective.

That's right. Farmers don't have it easy. But it's not easy for me either. Nobody has it easy. But it is a fact that we have to solve the nitrogen problem. And unfortunately it is also true that agriculture makes a very large contribution to the nitrogen problem. it cannot be that our nature will go to hell. we are responsible for a healthy nature and its biodiversity. so stop grabbing and exploiting nature. have nothing against farmers.
