Agrifirm is going to cut costs

28 February 2020 - Wouter Baan - 11 comments

Agrifirm is going to implement a reorganization to cut costs. As a result, 1 jobs will disappear from 25 October.

The reorganization at the cooperative is taking place within the general cargo and fertilizer locations and is probably related to declining sales figures during the past years. Sales of compound feed, fertilizer and crop protection products have been declining for several years in a row. An Agrifirm spokesperson indicates that the reorganization is intended to reduce the costs per flow of goods.

With the reorganization, 4 locations will be closed. These concern: Langeweg and Zeewolde (with the exception of the grain activities), Hoogezand and Nieuw-Amsterdam.

Three central locations
From October there will be 3 central distribution centers spread across the country. Emmeloord will be the central location for bagged and general cargo, with satellite locations on Texel and Margraten. Utrecht will be the operating base for the fertilizers, with satellite fortresses in Oss and Drachten.

For the distribution of crop protection products, there will be 2 central locations, in Meppel and Son. Agrifirm's customers will not notice anything of the reorganization, the spokesperson promises.

The last rule is certainly not correct, those 25 people always have a certain image towards customers.
The costs will certainly increase when they have to be transported over greater distances, for an optimal competitive price the range is very important, than when you need spraying agents this will often be necessary quickly, especially with a rapidly emerging disease of the crop. All in all, this development is not good for a coop. who thinks he is involved in everything. I think animal feed production is their main focus. eg manure does not fit in with this.

It is very unfortunate that more and more branches in the area are closing, after all you have to be able to switch quickly and then it is handy that there is still a collection point for spraying agents nearby. I find it special that our branch is at welkoop where the staff is already working, well in case of emergency there is always the competitor, with the result that there is a great chance that you will transfer completely.

especially on the sand with your high poison use it is difficult if you have to drive far for your waist, I would just buy a big bus.

why, I hear more and more often, we can't come for a game
Drent 1 March 2020
high poison use? Explain further, I think onions are almost sprayed flat against insects in Zeeland, while we don't even need to.

If you know your talking gibberish, think twice before you say something. Just come up with numbers and we'll communicate further.

I thought agriculture uses a poison. Now you yourself admit that (MUCH) poison is used.

who admits that? there's someone here calling out something like that.
does not mean that it is really used much.
and if you call pesticides poison, you can also call medicines that you get from the doctor or pharmacy, just like poison, Piet.
