Naus Kisten & Pallets has a new owner as of September 1, 2020. The company in Espel is taken over by Vierhouten Pallets from Putten. The real estate and the employees are part of the takeover.
Naus, part of the Faber Halbertsma Group, has a leading position in the market for agricultural crates in the Netherlands. The 14 employees at the company in Espel all keep their jobs. The takeover does not entail any noticeable changes for customers either, according to both parties.
For the Faber Halbertsma Group, the divestment of Naus seems a logical step. In recent years, the organization has increasingly focused on the production and pooling of wooden pallets throughout Europe. A 'stand-alone' box factory no longer fits in with the group's strategy.
Good expansion
The Gelderse Vierhouten-Palletindustrie is specialized in supplying used and new pallets. "For our company, Naus is a good extension of the existing activities," says director Gerrit Jansen. "After recent takeovers of Pallethandel Panhuis Lelystad and De With Pallets in Zeewolde."
Vierhouten-Palletindustrie and De With Pallets have 32.000 m2 industrial site at 2 locations and a company stock of around 350.000 pallets. After the acquisition, the group of companies will have a turnover of €40 million and approximately 75 employees.
