Jan Cees Vogelaar wants to enter the House of Representatives for the Forum for Democracy. He is in ninth place on the electoral list of Thierry Baudet's party. Due to his appointment, Vogelaar will immediately resign his chairmanship of the Mesdag Dairy Fund Foundation. 

His candidacy at the Forum for Democracy (FvD) was announced on Saturday evening at the presentation of the top 10 of the electoral list in Rotterdam. There Vogelaar drove in on a tractor for his introduction. "Proud and happy to be at number 9. I would like to bring a piece of common sense back into politics." Party leader Baudet speaks of a "fantastic number 9", because "agriculture deserves so much better policy".
