Agrifirm announces departure of CEO Northwest Europe

5 November 2020 - Jorine Cosse - 1 reaction

Agrifirm has announced that Ronald van de Ven, the current CEO of the Northwest Europe division, will leave. He will stop as director next Monday, November 9, and will leave employment on March 1, 2021. There is no place for Van de Ven in the so-called strategic period from 2021 to 2024 that Agrifirm will start.

The cooperative feed giant has announced this. According to Agrifirm, Van de Ven's departure is the result of 'constructive discussions regarding the strategy and management of the Agrifrim NWE organisation.' Although Van de Ven will retire on Monday, he will officially leave the feed supplier only on March 1, 2021. For the time being, CEO Dick Hordijk is taking over the operational leadership of Agrifirm NWE.

Van de Ven will remain associated with Agrifirm as an independent advisor. In this role, he will also continue to support the integration of Quartes and Agrifirm Belgium, the company has announced.
