The costs for the identification and registration of new (agricultural) construction vehicles remain limited. The sector organizations Fedecom, Cumela, BMWT and LTO Nederland report that they have reached an agreement with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management.
early December There was a fuss about the costs of identifying and registering agricultural vehicles. The trade associations found it strange that the costs had been set by the RDW at more than €200 per vehicle. In mid-April, Minister Cora van Niewenhuizen wrote that the costs would be €2021 for January 30 and €1 per vehicle from January 2021, 61. After writing a fire letter, the organisations, the ministry and the RDW have now come to an agreement that registration can take place in a simplified manner until 1 July 2021.
The physical identification and technical assessment by the RDW (with the associated call-out costs and inspection costs) will lapse until that date. This means that new agricultural vehicles can be registered online in the period from January 1, 2021 to July 1, 2021. The basis for this is the working method and registration data as prepared for existing (agricultural) construction vehicles, Fedecom reports.
As much digital as possible
Identification and registration will take place from July via digital registration. The plan is aimed at executing the entire process digitally as much as possible. As a result, the RDW expects, in collaboration with the sector, to have completed the process on 1 July. The total savings for the sector due to the simplified registration are estimated by Fedecom at approximately €4,5 million.
