Logistics service provider Eurofrigo is pulling out all the stops this year and expanding the number of its own inspection points. The company has started the construction of a new cold store on the Maasvlakte. It is expected to be completed in mid-2021.
With the construction of a new cold store, to be completed in mid-2021, Eurofrigo is striving to expand and innovate its own inspection points. This also makes it the sixth location in the Netherlands. "We have chosen to expand the capacity in inspection points and storage, because we want to work in a more customer-oriented way and offer more flexibility in the field of inspections", says Jeroen Tempels, CEO of Eurofrigo. "For example, we see that in recent years customers are increasingly asking for solutions in the field of 'value added logistics' (VAS)."
Add value
That is why the new location is fully committed to 'value-added services'. This cold store is equipped with the most modern techniques. "You can think of cells consisting of several individually adjustable temperature zones," says Tempels. "In addition to VAS, inspection and storage, we also offer a complete logistics solution together with Thermotraffic: from customs clearance, transport and export to inspection, container unloading and loading, storage, order picking, repacking, weighing and quality control."
