Agricultural innovations score well
In sixth place is the highest-scoring innovation from agriculture, the Barsha water pump from AQusta, a start-up from TU Delft. This allows agricultural entrepreneurs to pump water at less cost. This is due to the fact that the pump is hydro-driven (with a waterwheel) and also does not use fossil fuels. The Barsha water pump is now used in more than 21 countries worldwide.
AnyMilk scores eighth place in the Top 100 and therefore also performs high. The company is the first and only one in the world to show exactly which cow the milk comes from. “After a cow has been milked, the milk goes to an automated laboratory for analysis. That pure milk is pasteurized in the same pass and is in a bottle labeled with that milking and cow within 10 minutes of milking,” explained the founder. Matthijs Job earlier even out at Boerenbusiness.
