On Wednesday 24 March, Voergroep Zuid will announce that Ronald van de Ven will be the new general manager. Van de Ven was previously active at Agrifirm and ForFarmers. "He knows exactly how the industry works and what challenges await us as a cooperative in the coming years," says chairman Geer van Bussel.
Subject to approval by the Authority for the Financial Markets, Ronald van de Ven will become the new general manager of Voergroep Zuid from 1 July. He will be responsible for the 'Topholding Feed Group South', which includes 3 business units: Feed & Raw Materials, Financial Services and Retail. The position is currently filled on an interim basis by Roel Driessen, who is also director of the Financial Services (Zuiderhuis) and Retail business units.
Experienced rot in the field
Van de Ven is an experienced hand in the field. He was employed by Agrifirm until 1 March, where he was director of Northwest Europe until November. Van de Ven previously worked as operational director at ForFarmers and also held various management positions at Hendrix UTD (Nutreco). "Van de Ven knows exactly how the compound feed industry works and what challenges we can expect in the coming years. Moreover, he has a lot of experience with the cooperative management model," said chairman Geert van Bussel in a statement.
Van de Ven states that it is his aim to further expand the cooperative. "Voergroep Zuid has grown into the fourth largest compound feed company in the Netherlands in terms of sales and has created a solid market position in the south of the Netherlands and the north of Belgium. That is a good basis for further growth."
