The Collaboration increases profits
Despite the corona crisis, the Collaboration has had a good year. The financial result of 2020 of the cooperative feed company is 72,4% compared to the result of 2019. The supplementary payment has also increased.
Last Thursday (May 27) the Cooperation from Haastrecht established the results of 2020 with the proposal for profit appropriation in an online annual meeting. The company's total feed turnover rose to more than 152.000 tons. The financial result was €805.000 and is described as excellent by the cooperative. The number of members has grown by 4% to 836 and they can count on a supplementary payment of €2,50 per tonne. That is €1 per tonne higher than last year, when €1,50 was paid in supplementary payments.
In its own words, the financial result is due to a good purchasing position, better-than-expected costs and a good performance of the store. The store saw a turnover growth of no less than 27%.
Investments
The investment program in the factory and vehicle fleet has been implemented according to plan and a start has been made on the construction of the new warehouse for fertilizer and agricultural products. According to De Samen, cooperative partnerships, such as within CIS and CropSolutions, will be further expanded in the coming years. The same applies to regional cooperation with fellow companies in the Groene Hart. Further investments will be made in the factory in the coming years.
