CDA member Maurits von Martels switches to BBB

Maurits von Martels, dairy farmer in Dalfsen and a member of the Dutch House of Representatives for the CDA for four years until the last elections, has canceled his party membership and is making the switch to the BoerBurgerBeweging (BBB).

Von Martels ended up in the ineligible place 39 on the list in the last elections to the House of Representatives. RTV Oost quotes from his letter of termination: "With pain in my heart I would like to cancel my membership of the CDA. Although I owe a lot to the party, I lack the motivation to commit myself to this in the future." According to him, 'many factors' underlie this choice. 

Caroline van der Plas says in a tweet that she is 'super happy' with the switch from Von Martels.
