Topman Knoop will leave ForFarmers in spring 2022

25 November 2021 - Redactie Boerenbusiness

Yoram Knoop will step down as CEO and member of the Executive Board of ForFarmers in the spring of 2022. The feed company announced this on Thursday morning 25 November. The announcement follows joint consultation between Knoop and the Supervisory Board.

Knoop will stop on April 14, 2022 after the General Meeting of Shareholders. His current term of office also expires on that date. Yoram Knoop took office in November 2013 and was appointed CEO of ForFarmers with effect from 1 January 2014. "After 8 years at the helm of this wonderful company, it is a natural moment for myself and for the company for a new phase," said Knoop in the statement. "In the coming months, I will continue to work with all my energy and dedication to execute on our management agenda."

Further sharpening strategy
Jan van Nieuwenhuizen, chairman of the Supervisory Board of ForFarmers, says, among other things: "Since taking office, Yoram has further developed the company from an ambitious cooperative to the leading feed company in Europe. Under his leadership, the step has been taken to the growth market Poland and the portfolio has been brought more into balance by strengthening the poultry sector. He has also anchored sustainability in ForFarmers' strategy."

The process of finding a new CEO has started. In light of the changes and challenges in the agricultural sector, ForFarmers will evaluate the Build to Grow 2025 strategy in the coming period and refine it where necessary, the feed company said.
