Based on provisional figures, 350.100 tons of potatoes have been processed. Last year, 323.000 tons of potatoes were processed in January, which was also a record.

In the period February 2016 to January 2017, a total of 3.915.000 tons of potatoes were processed, which is 117.800 tons more than the same period a year earlier.

In the month of January 2017, 161.400 tons of pre-fried product were made from the amount of processed potatoes and 28.400 tons of other products. That means a return of 54,2%. A year ago, that percentage was 59,7%.

Of the amount of processed potatoes, 30,3% came from imports, 106.200 tons. Last year the percentage was 31,8%.
