27 February 2017 - Redactie Boerenbusiness

The Rotterdam pataticoon Bram Ladage has big plans. In five years he wants to have 100 locations of 'Bram's Gourmet Frites'.

The company, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, started in 1967 in Rotterdam with the sale of freshly cut chips. There are now more than 30 points of sale. In 2016, Ladage opened the company's first foreign branch in Essen, Germany, under the name Bram's Gourmet Frites. The concept of potato chips with skin, stew meat according to Herman den Blijker's recipe and sea containers that have been converted into flexible food units, will be rolled out further (inter)nationally this year.

Spain, Denmark and Germany are on the schedule

The second location where chips are approached as a full meal will open its doors in Spijkenisse next month. In five years' time there should be a hundred branches', board member Rocco Ladage tells the Snack Courier.

The company is not only prepared for strong growth nationally. Spain, Denmark and Germany are planned and it is still being investigated in which countries in the Middle East the concept has a chance of success.
