McCain Foods is working hard. The French fries maker announces the umpteenth cash injection for the capacity expansion in 1 of their production locations.
This time it's about planning for an expansion of factory capacity in Coaldale, Alberta, Canada. This investment will result in an increase in the production of French fries. This is necessary to meet the strong demand for McCain products at home and abroad.
Global Investment Program
Coaldale is a flagship location in the North American McCain area and has 28 growers in Southern Alberta under contract. The expansion should be completed by the fall of 2017 at the latest. The investment is part of the global investment program to increase production capacity.
1 billion in 18 months
In the past 18 months, the company announced it has invested more than $1 billion in plant expansion in the United States, Canada, England, Australia, France, Belgium, Argentina, Colombia and India. These investments are made across McCain's entire range. It also concerns investments in infrastructure and technology.
