Potato trading house Van der Linde from Emmeloord sampled 30 plots of Innovator consumption potatoes for the first time in week 5. 4 plots have been irrigated once or twice. There is no visible difference between irrigation or not.

41,65

ton

per hectare is the average of the first trial harvest figures

Contrast with 2016
On average, the first test harvest amounts to 41,65 gross tonnes per hectare, with 72% of the crop being 50 millimeters upwards. The average underwater weight is 347. This is a big contrast with the figures from 2016. When 31,76 tonnes per hectare were sampled in week 30. The 5-year average is 38,35 tonnes per hectare, at 61,5% 50mm+ and 360 OWG.

Big differences
The spread between the 5 plots is more than 10 tons. The lowest yield is 35,33 tons per hectare, while the highest result is 48,36 tons per hectare. In all cases this concerns gross kilos 55mm+. This plot has almost 64% 50mm+, while the highest figure is 87,5%.

Not the highest result
Only in 2012 was the first sampling at an even higher level. Then 45,10 tons per hectare were harvested. 2013 and 2014 were just below the 40 result with more than 2017 tons. The average growth between weeks 30 and 31 is just under 5 tons.
