Ex-country listing Goes has a lower start

Beurs Goes started on the first day of August with the first ex-country quotation for chips potatoes. This is a few euros lower than what the stock exchange was quoted on during the start of last year.

The first quotation for fries-suitable consumption potatoes from sandy soils on the Goes stock exchange amounts to €13 to €14 per 100 kilos. Last year that level was still €19 to €20 per 100 kilos. In 2015, the starting quotation was €15 to €17 euros per 100 kilos.

No Belgian listing
In Belgium there is no trade in potatoes from the field at all. PCA/Fiwap therefore does not announce a listing. Potato processors can use product that has previously been contracted.
