In total, almost 3,4 million tons of potatoes were processed this year (January to October), compared to 3,2 million in the same period in 2016. The total figure for the 12-month period (November to October 2017) is now more than 4 million tons, a lead of 150.000 tons compared to the period November 2015 to October 2016.

Growth not stopped
The growth in French fries products worldwide appears not to have stopped yet. For example, in July 2017, more than 7% more end products were imported by countries such as Japan, the Philippines and Russia compared to 1 year earlier.

For example, the demand for end products in a country like Brazil is still increasing significantly. And although sales from Europe are limited due to the Brazilian import restriction, there is more room for sales worldwide. The question is then ultimately filled to the left or to the right.
