Flevostar Potato continues under new name

Former employees of the bankrupt company Flevostar Potato BV from Dronten have set up a new company called Polder Potato BV. This new potato trading house will remain active at the old location for washing, sorting and packing potatoes.

Polder Potato BV will announce the news to their relations on 11 January. Flevostar Potato early on December 14 bankruptcy at. The day-to-day management of the company is now in the hands of Anton Riezenbos and Corné Kodde, the son of founder Jaap Kodde. He started the potato trade over 25 years ago and took a step back in 2016.

Flevostar Potato claims to process about 20.000 tons of potatoes every year. In the summer of last year, the company launched its own potato brand under the name Williams Potatoes. The company has not disclosed what will happen to this.
