Belgian representatives and Belgapom, the professional association for potato trade and processing, have taken the first step in establishing a trade association for the potato sector. In this way they hope to give the chain 1 sound.
In the 'BO potatoes', the trade organizations Algemeen Boerensyndicaat (ABS), Boerenbond and Fédération Wallonne de l'Agriculture (FWA) are represented under the Agrofront. The potato sector is represented by Belgapom. For example, the cultivation, processing and trade of consumption potatoes are linked in the association.
