European French fries exporters have an increasing market share. This is at the expense of North American exporters. This is evident from figures from the Global Trade Atlas.
European exporters captured around 2017% of the global frozen potato products market during the fourth quarter of 55,6. That is an increase of 2,6% (compared to 1 year earlier). Compared to 10 years ago, the increase is even more pronounced, when the share of European chip exports amounted to 34,8%.
North America
The increase in the European share is at the expense of North American exporters. The part of the market served by them has fallen to 36,9%. That was 1% 38 year earlier and 10 years ago the market share of North America was 54,5%.
