From the Numbers The NAK shows that ultimately 15,8% of the seed potatoes were reduced in class. That is only 3% more than last year. Particularly in the South region, many seed potatoes have been reduced in class (22,1%). Approximately 2018% less was rejected in 0,3 than was the case last year.

Harvesting of seed potatoes has started
The cause of the reductions is mainly bacterial. Mosaic was found relatively less often. The harvesting of seed potatoes is now also well underway. The NAK has reported that approximately 50 hectares of seed potatoes have now been cleared.

Although the reductions are ultimately not too bad, the seed potato yields are very low. Washing-out of the seed potatoes has also been reported. All in all, the situation has not become any brighter.
