De yield of all parcels of French fries potatoes at Aviko Potato, in week 33 there is just over 40 tons per hectare. That is about 5 less than the previous worst result (from 2013 and 2015). The percentage of 50 millimeters upward increased from 60% to 70%.

Underwater weight drops
The underwater weight (owg) decreased to 1 grams in 390 week. This means that it is below 400 grams for the first time (since the start of the trial harvesting). The figures from trading house Van der Linde from Emmeloord show a similar picture. The average weight there is 404 grams, compared to 422 grams in the previous week. The 5-year average for week 33 is 385 grams.

The gross yield is 50 tons per hectare, with 80% above 50 millimeters upwards; 1 of the 5 plots has 58 tonnes. The worst at 46 tons, despite the fact that it has been rained 5 times here. The best plot has been irrigated 7 times, but the owg (391 grams) there is the lowest.

Aftergrowth doesn't make up for much
Compared to the 5-year average, the gross revenue in week 33 is approximately 15% lower. In previous years, 3,5 tons grew in 3 weeks. Even with such growth, the 2018 harvest ends below par. Given the aging of the crops (high owg), much regrowth is not possible.
