Potato processor Lamb Weston/Meijer is going to reorganize its office locations in the hope of attracting more staff. This is not possible at the current main location in Kruiningen in Zeeland. There will be 3 office centers in the Netherlands.
In a recent interview Bas Alblas, CEO of Lamb Weston/Meijer, already spoke about the reorganization. The European head office is in Kruiningen, near the chips factory, but it is difficult to attract enough new talent in this area. It is therefore looking for employees internationally and a reorganization must provide the solution.
3 locations
Lamb Weston/Meijer has informed its employees of the planning† There will be 3 office centers in the south of the country and the 'Operations & Service Center' will remain in Kruiningen. The European head office will be located at the new office location in Breda and investments will be made in innovation in technology in Bergen op Zoom.
The company wants to grow further and needs more staff to do so. That is not enough now. The spread over different locations should ensure greater access to the labor market, believes Lamb Weston/Meijer. The current office locations in Kruiningen and Breda are too limited.
Staff stays
The current staff will continue to work for Lamb Weston/Meijer. Some, however, will be given a new location. First of all, investments are being made in a so-called 'Technology Center', which is located in Bergen op Zoom.
