Former director Agristo passed away

Luc Raes, the co-founder of the Belgian fries producer Agristo, passed away on Wednesday evening 19 June. Raes, 67, was involved in an accident involving horse-drawn carriages in the Ardennes.

The fatal accident took place on a country road in Hérisson. which is located in Orchimont (a borough of Vresse-sur-Semois). Various sources report that Raes took part in a trip with 3 carriages. Raes's carriage overturned as a result of a collision. There were also some minor injuries.

Raes stood at the cradle of the hard in the 80s together with Anton Wallays growing Agristo. The potato processor currently achieves a market share of 4% and wants to increase that share to 2023% by 7.
