The average payment price is €30 per 100 kilos (excluding VAT). This price applies to week 13 and applies to almost all varieties from 35 millimeters upwards. The standard was 40 millimeters upwards only for Maritima and Agria for export. The storage fee is also higher than normal: €0,125 per 100 kilos, per week.

Premiums per breed
The premium per variety is the highest for Agria. There is a plus of €1,20 on potatoes of this variety that are intended for processing. For Agrias intended for export, growers receive a plus of €2,40. For Innovator and Lady Anna the plus is €0,75. These breeds make up a large part of the pool. The standard payout price applies to the other varieties.

"This price was above expectations for the growers and we are also satisfied," says Michel van Oijen in response. "We traded as much as possible at prices above €30 per 100 kilos and took every opportunity to achieve a pool price of €30. Everything fell into place this year."

Pool remains interesting
The focus of deliveries this season was in week 9. The pool ran from week 44 to week 26. "We sold earlier than usual and were able to meet all obligations with buyers," Van Oijen reports. Eriva achieved an average price of €2009 per 2018 kilos with the pool over the period from harvest 15,98 to 100. "It shows that the pool is an interesting alternative to fixed-price contracts. It also shows that growth is still possible," he concludes.
