Potato cooperative Agrico published the payment prices for seed and ware potatoes on Friday 5 July. Prices are historically high.
The average price of seed potatoes is €39,57 per 100 kilos for all delivered tons of 28 millimeters upwards and class S to A. That is €1,50 higher than previously reported. expected. The price for the seed potato size is €44,03 and that is a record in Agrico's history.
While Agrico's seed potato area increased again by 3%, the cooperative still faced a shortage. Although there was a relatively high percentage of potatoes in the excess size, this could still be sold well. This is because the demand for potters in seed potato size could not be met. As a result, there were almost no seed potatoes left at the end of the season.
