The increase is partly due to the fact that the physical quotations on the potato market have increased this week due to wet conditions. As a result, the potato harvest is at a standstill in a large part of the EU-4. Traders looking for potatoes have to rely on product from storage, but that comes with a higher price tag.

For example, the price in Belgium rose by €0,38 to €11,13, the price in France rose by €0,12 to €11,25 and that of Germany increased by €0,12 to €12,50. The Dutch share has risen by €0,31 in the past week.
