The month of September is a month in which the processing of Dutch potatoes hit a record. Is this going to be the season that makes all previous seasons pale?
This season seems to be getting the hang of it. A record high processing figure was already achieved in August, but the month of September is no less. With 345.800 tons, this month leaves all previous years behind.
Higher efficiency
36,9% of the potatoes needed for processing came from abroad, compared to 33,5% last year. The return that the chip bakers managed to achieve was 54,3%. That was still 2018% in September 50,4.
To maintain the record, processing must exceed 370.500 tons in October. Whether this will be realized will be announced on November 22.
