DCA Spot Frites takes another step up

The upward trend of the DCA Spot listing for French fries is also continuing this week. The changeable weather affects the purchase price of potatoes and chips.

As in previous weeks, the DCA Spot quotation for French fries potatoes another step up this week. The reason for this is a positive physical potato market. The export market in particular is in considerable flux, which has increased the demand for dry potatoes suitable for export. However, there is also a desire to buy among chip bakers. This combination increases the odds.

PotatoNL to the top
The PotatoNL listing put the top of category II at €18, which is a plus of €1. The top end of category I has also increased: +€1,50 to €14,50. Furthermore, there were also gains this week in Belgium (PCA for Bintje +€0,50 and the other varieties +€1) and in France (Fontane increased by €0,50). The eastern neighbors have also increased the quotation of Fontane/Challenger and Innovator by €0,50.
