Sufficient supply stabilizes DCA Spot Frites

The DCA Spot Listing for Chips Potatoes is becoming increasingly common since the first listing has been used up Friday 27 September was announced. This week, physical potato quotations in Belgium, Germany and France remained unchanged. In the Netherlands, on the other hand, PotatoNL took a step up: +€0,14 to €13,52 per 100 kilos. All in all, this means that the DCA Spot Quotation for Chips Potatoes takes a small step up and therefore amounts to €13,23 per 100 kilos.

Physical Market
Last week the physical potato market was dominated by field deliveries in areas where harvesting was still going well. The offer also presented itself more quickly; especially of potatoes for which growers did not have sufficient storage. The total supply is more than sufficient to meet the current demand for raw materials from chip makers.

The potato growers who enter the open market with, for example, the Fontane variety, seem to have only one price in France, Belgium and the Netherlands. That is roughly €12,50 per 100 kilos. It is also striking that in France and Belgium it concerns 35 millimeters upwards and in the Netherlands it concerns 40 millimeters of deliveries.
