In the month of October, 365.000 tons of potatoes were processed, which is more than in the past 2 months. On the other hand, it is less than was processed in October in 2018. October was therefore the peak month. What is striking is that clearly more potatoes from abroad were needed last year. Then 38,6% was imported from abroad, compared to 30,9% this month. More than 178.000 tons were processed into pre-baked products and 24.300 tons into other products.

Record pace held
With regard to the 2019 harvest, potato processing is still ahead of previous harvest years. Since August 2019, 1.054.800 tons of potatoes have been processed. The processing speed has thus far been high.
