Little movement for DCA Spot Frites

This week seems like a repeat of the previous weeks. The end of the European potato harvest has still not been reached. Anyone who takes a look at the weather forecast for the next 2 weeks will see that there is no dry weather. As a result, harvest conditions are becoming increasingly difficult. The pace is completely off among growers who do make attempts. Stuck and extra deployment of tractors is the order of the day/night.

There doesn't seem to be any dry weather for the time being.

No movement
Yet this does not change the physical potato market (and therefore the potato price). For the time being, there is no shortage of raw material due to planned and unintentional supply of potatoes, which allows the processors to remain calm. It is difficult to indicate what this will look like in the longer term. The fact is that the calm appearance of the current physical potato market does not cause potato prices to drop and that is also a signal.

The quotations for Belgium, Germany and France remain unchanged this week. Belgium and France remained stuck at €12,50. Germany remained at an average of €12,75 for Fontane and an average of €14,25 per 100 kilos for Innovator. Only in the Netherlands has there been an increase in the top end of category II, increasing this quotation by an average of €0,50. This means there is a slight plus in the DCA Spot Quotation for Chips Potatoes: +€0,06 to €13,29.
