Cosun has appointed Chris Deen as Aviko's new CEO. The new CEO of the French fries group has held managerial positions at Sara Lee (coffee) and Euroma (spices) among others. He was also CEO of Bakkersland.
In addition to being CEO at Aviko, Deen will become a member of the Cosun Executive Board on 15 January 2020. He has experience in managerial positions at various companies in the food sector. He is currently active as a director at Euroma, a European player in the field of herbs, spices and sauces. Before that, he held leadership positions at Sara Lee and was CEO at Bakkersland, market leader in the Netherlands in, among other things, freshly baked bread.
Record result
At Aviko, Deen is tasked with furthering Aviko's growth strategy to build out and increase its market share, Cosun reported. He also needs to further integrate the Aviko organisation. Deen takes over from interim CEO Ton Christian. Aviko thanks Christiaanse for his role in the past year. Under his reign, Aviko achieved a record result. Hard work has also been done under his leadership on the investment in the new chip factory to be built in Poperinge.
