The Netherlands is the biggest faller in DCA Spot Frites

The physical potato market is moving more and more. There is interest in the long term in particular for the varieties at the top of the segment. This has repercussions on the DCA Spotnotering French fries potatoes.

This week too, the DCA Spot Quotation for Chips Potatoes shows an increase. The harvested and stored potatoes are qualitatively mapped, as well as the volumes. What is striking is that chip bakers in the Netherlands mainly pay attention to the varieties that are at the top end in terms of price. This interest is for both the short and long term. Particularly in the DCA PAT index this is well expressed.

Physical quotes unchanged
For week 50 the DCA Spot quotation for French fries potatoes to €13,74, an increase of €0,06 from last week. The physical quotations in France, together with Belgapom, have remained stable. What was striking was the significant minus that the Netherlands suffered (-€0,48). This is the result of the negative effect on the Innovator and Fontane varieties. The other quotations from which the DCA Spot quotation for French fries potatoes is distilled (PCA/Fiwap and Germany) have increased.
