In November, processors in the Netherlands processed 311.300 tons of potatoes. That is less than last year, because the processing figure in November was 336.500 tons of potatoes. Last month the pace of potato processors was also slightly lower than last year.

Promising start
The figure is striking, because potato processing started very promisingly. Records were even broken in August. The total potato processing of the 2019 harvest is still ahead of 2018. 1.366.100 tons of potatoes have been processed since August, compared to 1.328.700 tons last year.

Of the 311.300 tons processed in November, 143.500 tons were processed into pre-fried products. In addition, 27.000 tons were processed into other products. The percentage of potatoes from imports is 40,5%, which is the same as last year.
