Last week, the June 2021 potato forward contracts settled on the final Cash Settlement (CS). This was at a level of €11,10. What to do with contracts that still have to be settled?
Now that CS is no longer being compiled, it seems as if the potato season is over. But nothing is less true. The annual early settlement of the potato futures trade makes it particularly difficult for parties that have contracts that reach final settlement on the basis of the CS.
DCA offers an alternative
Now that this is no longer being compiled for this season, the question regularly arises: how to deal with the settlement of contracts that arrive at the final price through a CS? The DCA SF has been developed for this purpose, which amounts to €23 for week 10,79. You can read how this quotation is structured here.
The input from the participating countries for week 23 is as follows:
Belgium €10,25 (+0,62)
Germany €10,75 (-0,25)
France €10,25 (approx.)
Netherlands €12,75 (-0,14)
Compared to last week, there is no change in determining the SF.{{dataviewSnapshot(2_1623416455)}}
