In May, 319.900 tons of potatoes were processed by the French fries industry. That is 27.000 tons more than in April. The trend in the processing figures continues. Processing is slightly lower than in March, but above that of the other months this year. Compared to May 2020, more than 100.000 more tons have been processed. More imports
The Dutch industry has processed more potatoes from imports. 45,3%, or 145.000 tons of potatoes came from abroad. In April this was still 116.700 tons. 139.400 tons of pre-fried chips and 26.600 tons of other products were produced. The processing yield was 51,9% in May.
