The basic price for starch flakes and granulated potatoes will be increased by €12,50 per tonne. In addition to the increase in the basic price, the premium for early delivery (end of July to end of August) will be increased by €20 per tonne to allow the factory to start up early. "The worldwide high demand for agricultural raw materials in combination with enormous increases in cultivation costs for farmers has led and continues to lead to sharply rising prices in all product areas within arable farming," Emsland writes in the message. "The demand for potatoes worldwide can be described as very good and there is a high demand for raw materials at the same time as significantly increased production costs, also in the potato sector."

After intensive negotiations and consultation with representatives from the growers and against the background of developments on the raw materials markets, Emsland has decided to significantly increase the potato price. "Prices of energy, logistics, chemicals and packaging materials are rising across the board. In an increasingly tight raw materials market, this step is necessary to secure the supply of potatoes in the future and to continue to serve our customers optimally," Emsland concludes. the message.
