Second largest processing in April ever

The processing of potatoes is doing well this season. The processing figures for April certainly contribute to this. How high are these numbers?

The processing figure for potatoes into fries and other products in the month of April, at 355.600 tonnes, is the second highest processing figure ever achieved in the month of April. Only in April 2018 was processing higher at 367.200 tonnes. When the processing over the period August to April is compared with previous seasons, this season drops back to third place with a total of 2.972.800 tons. The 2017 and 2016 seasons preceded the current season with 3.039.300 tons and 3.016.900 tons respectively.

Good processing efficiency
The production used 128.400 tons of imported potatoes, which corresponds to 36,1% of the total processed volume. A total of 192.700 tons of potato products were produced, resulting in a processing yield of 54,2%. Compared to the processing figures of April 2021, the volume of processed potatoes was 62.700 tons higher with a processing yield of 51,1%.{{dataviewSnapshot(2_1652962964)}}
