Clarebout wins the battle for Mydibel

The Belgian potato processor Clarebout takes over Mydibel. De writes the Belgian newspaper De Tijd. According to the newspaper, the final takeover bid was higher than the price that was circulating for Mydibel.

Mydibel, the Mylle family's company, had been in the spotlight for several months display. The other serious kandidaten for the acquisition of the Belgian potato processor headquartered in Moeskroen, Lamb Weston and McCain. According to De Tijd, Clarebout would have deposited more than €400 million for Mydibel. It was previously estimated that Mydibel would raise between €300 and €400 million.

The takeover by Clarebout comes at a remarkable time. Clarebout is also investing in a new factory in Dunkirk, which is reportedly associated with € 140 million.
