According to figures from the Association for the Potato Processing Industry (VAVI), 300.600 tons of potatoes were processed in November. Last year, 333.800 tons were processed and the five-year average is 316.140 tons. Of the processed potatoes, almost half, 48,3% to be precise, came from abroad. In tons, that is 145.300 tons.

The amount of processed potatoes may be a bit disappointing, but that does not apply to the amount of fries that has been produced. With 154.100 tons, the production of fries has risen to the highest level since October 2023. In addition, 26.900 tons of other products have been produced. The processing yield is 60,2%, an unprecedented high for this time of year.
