The worst has been had on the potato market, or so it seems. After a small step up from Belgium last week, this week it is France where the market is picking up a bit. The Netherlands and Germany are showing a different movement, by the way.
The Belgian contribution to the DCA EU-4 Potato Index remains unchanged at €17,50 per 100 kilos. This makes Belgium the last in the index. The Netherlands is at the top with a contribution of €23,13 per 100 kilos. This is €0,12 lower than a week earlier. Germany reduced by the same amount, bringing the contribution of our eastern neighbours to €20,63. France is the only increase this week with a plus of €1 to €17,50.
The DCA EU-4 Potato Index is at €19,75 this week. This means the index is €0,29 higher than last week. Due to its large area, Germany weighs quite heavily in the index.
