Underwater weight not extreme in Aviko test harvest
Aviko has announced the results of the trial harvest from week 32. In terms of yield, this season follows the 2022 harvest. The underwater weight is good, but lower than that year.

Choose the subscription that suits youThe average gross yield in Aviko's trial harvest of potatoes for processing is approximately 55 tons per hectare. This makes the yield unprecedentedly high this early in the season. This isn't entirely surprising considering that many potatoes were planted early this season. More than 80% of the potatoes are size 50. This makes the potatoes much coarser than in previous years this week.
The underwater weight is just over 380 grams. That's well above the standard of 360 grams. In 2018 and 2022, however, the underwater weight was even higher, approaching or slightly exceeding 400 grams.
